Polish actor, director and screenwriter. Psychologist by education. His great comedy talent manifested itself in the 1990s, when he became a founder and member of Cracow’s "Po żarcie" cabaret. He debuted on the big screen in 1988 in one of the main roles of Krzysztof Kieslowski’s "Dekalog: Ten". Since then, he let himself be known as an artist who takes like a duck to water both to comedic ("Fuks", “Boys don’t cry", "Poranek kojota") and dramatic roles ("Aftermath" – awarded with the Eagle for the Best Actor, "The Spring to Come", "Manhunt" or "Belfer" TV series).
He also frequents the stage, most often in the Warsaw Dramatic Theatre and the New Theatre. He is happy to give voice to characters in animated movies – he enchanted children with his dubbing in, among others, “The Lion King”, “Coco” and “Emperor’s New Groove”. In 2005 he was awarded with the Mistrz Mowy Polskiej prize, in 2008 he became an honorary ambassador of the Polish language and in 2011 he was named a “TV personality”. Decorated with the Golden Cross of Merit and the Silver Medal of Gloria Artis.
In his non-artistic life he is active in many charities. He gets involved in numerous public campaigns promoting equality, tolerance, healthy nutrition and the good treatment or animals. Triathlon is his sport passion - he even finished the “half” of an Ironman run in Gdynia and in good time (5:46:17), which left him in the middle of the 2400 participants.
